Ride With Confidence Siem Reap: Standing with Women at Kampong Kdei
In Siem Reap Province, a community-led agriculture cooperative shows what opens up when women have access to finance, skills and partnerships.
About the cooperative
Kampong Kdei Akphivath Thmei Agriculture Cooperative is based in Ansorng Pong Village, Kampong Kdei Commune, Chi Kraeng District, Siem Reap Province. Established in August 2015, it now brings together 2,046 members, including 1,885 women—placing women at the heart of this community-led initiative.
Through savings and loan services, vegetable production, chicken raising, greenhouse agriculture and food supplies to schools, the cooperative supports rural livelihoods and local economic development. These activities create opportunities for members to access finance, produce food and participate in their community's economy.

Women at the center
With women making up 91% of its membership, the cooperative is built around their participation. Members have taken part in training on poultry, savings groups and vegetable production, as well as business strategy, financial management and group governance.
The cooperative has also expanded greenhouse farming and acquired land to support further growth.
Working with World Vision
World Vision is one of the cooperative's development partners. Through Ride With Confidence, funds raised will be channeled through World Vision to support women's communities in Siem Reap and Battambang, including communities such as this cooperative.
